During his time at Ohio University, Dr. Blake demonstrated a strong commitment to helping others, volunteering as a tutor in chemistry and physics from 1987 to 1989. Additionally, he volunteered in the Orthopedics department from 1988 to 1989, showcasing his dedication to the medical field from a young age.

Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. James Blake attended the Ohio University School of Osteopathic Medicine from 1989 to 1991.
